Opposites Attract

The best-planned things are those that are not planned at all, said some wise guy at some point in history. Nothing was planned when a local resident found a stranded kitten in the park wandering around sitting by a tree. That’s when the decision to bring the kitten, whose name is now Wendy, into the family started to manifest itself.

The family has regularly fostered different animals whether its ducklings, pigs, or even chickens. Along with their very own mastiff named George, they have been able to care for various animals as part of their lifestyles. What the family did not expect was the strangely wonderful relationship that would occur between George and Wendy upon meeting each other.

David And Goliath

George stands at 135-lbs and is pretty massive in size as well. He is very docile and friendly when it comes to his behavior. It came as no surprise then when Wendy, with her petite stature, approached the doggo and began curling up in front of his front paws as to snuggle with her new companion. That’s not all. Wendy took such a liking, in fact, that she started to climb on his back, on top of his head, and even nestle up under his chest for comfort. George is extremely kind, so it did not bother the gentle giant at all.

Wendy truly loves being around George. She is always trying to lick his face and play with his tail back and forth. She really has become a member of the household and a strong companion for George. It came at a perfect time it seems. George and the family were recently getting over the passing of their sweet piggy named Debbie. George was very loving and caring towards Debbie. The two shared a very special bond that was irreplaceable for some time.

After Debbie passed away, you could tell the loss truly affected George. It was if a void was in his heart that could not be filled no matter what. He was more lethargic seemingly out of energy whenever he would engage with anyone or try to do any activity. Thanks to Wendy, George has been able to recover emotionally from such a hard loss.

Wendy and George balance each other’s personality. George acts as the calmer, more docile one of the pair and always seems to be observing intently. On the other hand, Wendy brings out the energy and life in George whenever she is around constantly trying to play with him. They are truly an adorable bunch once they are together!

A Match Made In Heaven

In addition, Wendy shows her warm side by always staying close to George. His big size makes her feel protected and safe and so it has given her a sense of comfort whenever he is around. George takes on the role with no objections.

He’s very willing to let Wendy do as she will with him since he also enjoys the fact that he now has a companion that will spend some time with him even if it means picking at his tail when he sleeps.

As was mentioned before, expecting the unexpected isn’t such a bad thing after all. The small kitty was able to adapt to her new environment in the sweetest way possible. Who would’ve thought that all Wendy needed was a 135-lb guardian mastiff to stick with her by her side.
