As is usually the case, taking the perfect photo is a matter of timing. More often than not, photographers either take the photo too soon, catching the action before it has even begun, or too late, missing the opportune moment completely.
From the funny to the truly bizarre, photos taken at just the right moment can both entertain and leave you scratching your head on how exactly the action in it was pulled off. The subject matter of such photos ranges from people and animals caught in bewildering and sometimes funny situations to surprises found in the weirdest of places.
Luckily, the takers of these photos had their cameras, or phones, ready when it really mattered. Here are some photos by people who noticed something strange and were able to get the perfect photo.
Here is a window decal for the driver who wants to appear relaxed and laid back. The decal exudes such a happy vibe. Chances are, though, that this decal could cause an awkward moment if the driver gets pulled over by the police.
Here is a perfect example of just how much popular culture has infiltrated our society. Someone has placed Squirtle, a popular character in the Pokemon universe. True to his cartoon roots, Squirtle, with his water-generating powers, would be the perfect Pokemon to have on hand in case of a fire.
How many mushrooms are too many? Obviously none if you go by this photo. Those things look huge BTW. I think they would be perfect chopped up and sautéed in butter. By the looks of it, this person is actually studying and not eating them. Too bad.
For the times when you don’t have time to put on the spare tire. Here is a driver who likes to live dangerously. I would suggest that they avoid sharp turns. Hopefully, they are on their way to the tire store.
5) Giving New Meaning to the Term Mobile Home
A home on wheels is many a retirees dream. I think this mobile home is taking it a little too far. It looks like instead of a tiny home they went for a giant home. Instead of reducing their environmental impact, it looks like these homeowners decided to take it with them to wherever they are moving to.
This is just poor product placement on the part of this store’s employees. By the smile on her face, it does look like the little girl is enjoying her snack. I just hope she drinks plenty of fluids to go with that paste so that it doesn’t gum up her works.
7) Ooh, a Piece of Candy, or Not
Here is a deceiving photo. At first glance it looks like the photographer has seven pieces of candy. Only after taking an after photo do you see that there are actually only six. Truth be told though, that guy’s bald head did look kind of yummy there for a minute.
This is what happens when you run out of regular pants but have mad sewing skills. Introducing the hat pants. Never be without pants again. With the right amount of sewing skill, anyone can turn their hats into a cool pair of pants. What’s next, the pants shirt?
What do you get when Popular Nintendo character Mario plays a fake version of himself? Why, Mario inception of course. Which makes you wonder, are there also Luigi, Princess Peach, or Toad inceptions? And what about Wario? Knowing him his inception would be no inception at all.
Here is a fox standing patiently in line. The weirdest part is that all of these people seem so calm about it, like it is just a regular part of their day. This fox must want to make a withdrawal because he sure doesn’t have any money on him, or pockets.
Here is a strange affect of the light and shadows. It is still creepy looking though. The way the bull’s head perfectly casts a shadow of a body makes me think that this was the intended result and not happenstance.
Either this is a cleverly disguised tree or it is someone with a Swamp Thing Mask. For those who are wondering, the Swamp Thing is a popular DC Comics character who rose to prominence in the 70s and 80s, and even had a few films made about his exploits.
I’m curious about what happened to the frog that made this impression in the concrete? I hope it is okay. Regardless of its current state, it does look like it made quite an impression. Hopefully, it didn’t splat too hard when landing in the cement.
I honestly don’t want to know how this happened. Was he running from the police and thought it was a good idea to hide amongst a cactus patch? It just goes to show that when someone is desperate they will do the craziest things. Talk about a sticky situation.
Here is a cat that is very good at being a cat. I am curious to how she is able to stand on such a tiny ledge. She looks a little perturbed though. I wonder if she is up there because she was being chased by the dog. It’s amazing the things a cat can do when trying to get away from a canine.
I’m assuming the plate of food on the right was made to resemble the picture. It would be hard for me to believe that someone would go to the lengths to draw a picture based on the food that they eat. I have seen weirder things though. Talk about art imitating life.
Do you see IT, because I sure don’t? Maybe if I looked a little closer, oh my lord! Note to self, do not go down any manholes, ever. The poor guy looks like he is about to meet his demise at the hands of something sinister. I hope he has a will.
Here is a set of stairs that seems confused as to which way it wants to go. Up or down, I guess it doesn’t matter. Ah, screw it; I’ll just take the elevator. Wait, there is no elevator? Then I’ll just stay at home.
Here is a guy who takes his hide and seek seriously. Good luck finding him on this mess of a couch. Family movie night must be a joy with this couch hog. Just going to sit on the couch and pop in a DVD. Oh wait, here’s Kevin spreading his butt across it like it is the Ponderosa.
Even pigeons seem to have a hard time finding a job sometimes. I’m curious as to what questions are on the interview. So, how much experience do you have pooping on statues? How about people and cars? I see here that you take payment in bread crusts or bird seed. Can you start next week or do you have to fly south?
This picture is for non-muggles only. I would love to go to the school which has this secret room. I wonder what they keep in there. Bodies, treasure, a magical lab? Nope, it’s just cleaning supplies. Nothing to see here folks, just move along. **wink**
These two dogs amazingly look just like a bear rug when laid out side-by-side, though this bear seems to have two tails. I’m also sure that, unlike a real bear rug, this one would object to having you lay on it. You would probably end up with a nasty bite, or at least a mean look.
How does the shoe in this photo even happen? Was the wearer having such a foot-stomping time that he wore his shoe out to the point that it came loose from the sole? By the looks of his right knee, the wearer is pretty blasé about personal safety.
When Tesla tried to change up its logo to one similar to that of Adidas, the shoe and sportswear maker would have none of it. The gist of this picture is that if Tesla was going to infringe upon the Adidas logo, then Adidas was going to do the same. Tesla did end up not using the logo in the end.
Here is what happens when you mix a tall person with a small car. Gotta’ have that leg room. Though this car does not look that small. He must be a really tall person. I’m just surprised that the front seat goes back that far.
What happens when you mix art and kids? An art overdose obviously if you go by this picture. The poor kid looks like he is so overwhelmed by all of the paintings around him. More than likely this is the precursor to a major tantrum. I mean, a kid can only take so much high culture.
Is this some kind of weird animal? No, according to the photographer, it is just a fur hat in the bushes. Okay, that sounds reasonable, but what are all of the little fur balls further down? Either they are actual animals of some sort or they are fur hats for babies. Or maybe they are tribbles. Who knows?
This looks like a group of monks. And by their handbags, it would seem that at least two of them have found Nirvana. I’m assuming by his lack of the same bag, the guy in the middle is not a fan.
This large cat is concerned for his pal Tigger from Winnie the Pooh fame. Admittedly, the costume does look real. All the poor tiger can see is a fellow big cat in trouble. Little does he know of the lie that lies within that orange, white, and black-striped suit.
Here is a perfect example of a photo taken at just the right moment. It seems that this balloon became stuck in a recessed light in the ceiling, giving it the look of a cool light fixture. It is only a matter of time before the heat grows too much and the balloon pops.
