Kids do the funniest things, especially when they don’t quite understand what they’re asking and are determined to get their way. This little girl wants to go to the pub so badly, she tries to explain to her mother why she should be allowed to do so and goes viral for the hilarious conversation.
She really makes a good case!
Katie is a 6-year-old from Ireland, who had the funniest argument with her mother on why she should be able to go to the pub
It all started when the soccer team her dad coaches and her aunts play on, had a Christmas party at the local pub. Katie attends all the soccer games, cheering for the team as much as possible. Being that she’s basically the team mascot, the little girl thought it was only fair that she be allowed to attend the party.
The pubs in Ireland where they live, allow kids inside only until 9:00-9:30 PM so Katie wouldn’t be allowed inside at the late party. Being 6-years-old, she didn’t quite understand why she couldn’t go. At the beginning of the video, you can hear Katie trying to make her case by reiterating to her mom that she is six.
She begs her mom, pulling out all the stops to try and convince her to let her go
The young girl thinks of every way she can convince her mom to change her mind, including telling her how her friend is only six too and she got to go.
“Melly’s six, and she got to go to the pub,” her mom responds: “For her daddy’s birthday party,” to which Katie says: “And did I get to go?” Before making some hysterical faces.
Katie then tries a different tactic, explaining to her mother that it’s her weekend off and even suggesting a trade of sorts
This little girl should think about becoming a lawyer when she grows up, she really knows how to argue her point!
“It’s my weekend off, what about if other kids are going? Please, just one night! I won’t go to the bingo anymore, I won’t go to the bingo tomorrow.” Katie says to her mother.
Her mother does what a lot of moms do in these situations, asks her “what did daddy say to all this?”
Katie is quick to answer her question by telling her that he’s just ignoring her and won’t get off of his phone. She then goes on a little rampage about how he thinks he can do everything that he wants, she even calls her dad out for not really cleaning when he’s supposed to be.
“He pretends that he’s cleaning when you’re gone, and he doesn’t really clean! He comes, I go into the kitchen because I’m hungry and he’s on his phone and he says ‘I’m cleaning,’ and I say no your not, you’re on your phone.” When Katie tells on her dad about not cleaning, her mom can’t help but burst with laughter.
The video ends with her exclaiming, “I’m six, and my own mother won’t let me go to the pub, how is that so fair??” By this point her mother can’t hold it in anymore, she laughs uncontrollably as the video ends.
