Typically, we only see makeovers and their fascinating results in magazines, movies, and television shows. There’s just something so mesmerizing about seeing physical changes unfold and watching people’s initial reactions as they see their new looks for the first time.
That’s why The Makeover Guy, Christopher Hopkins, is so popular. He knows how to accentuate a person’s best features, style them impeccably, and basically steer them towards confidence and more self-love.
And recently, he’s made one seventy-year-old reclaim her inner flower child.
Randy Adams of Minnesota would only catch makeovers on television. Fortunately, the time came when she finally had the opportunity to be on the makeup chair herself.
“After I retired, it was just time to take time for myself.”
First of all, let’s be honest. She doesn’t look at all like she’s seventy years old.
So you can just imagine how much younger she’d actually look after an incredible makeover.
“I’m just treating myself for my birthday coming up.”
Investing in ourselves, even through a makeover, is the best way to go about feeling amazing inside and out. After all, we all need a little push and a whole lot of positivity.
And what better way to treat yourself than with a well-deserved makeover?
With white hair lightening her roots and contrasting the ash brown ends of her hair, Randy was set on getting the perfect, flattering hairstyle, including a good color.
So Christopher worked his magic and gave her the cut and style she imagined.
The makeover guru dyed her hair an attractive, blonde shade and cut it a few inches shorter, resulting in a shorter and more stylish cut that added volume to her hair. The significant difference between her old hairstyle and the present one already made Randy look twice as young.
People tend to take their emotions out on their hair, hence the funny saying,
“I don’t know who needs to hear this right now, but if you’re going through a rough time, leave your hair alone.”
That’s probably because we are all subconsciously aware that change is the only solution to any dilemma. So even if our current hairstyles have nothing at all to do with our predicament, we tend to act on impulse and feel that a new look is forceful enough to get us on our feet and act. The Makeover Guy definitely knew what to do to play up Randy’s best features and give her what she’s been wanting for quite awhile: a defining new look.
He did that by shaping her eyebrows through light makeup. Then, he used mascara and neutral eyeshadow tones to bring out the color of her eyes, and gave her lips and cheeks a flattering tint by using a subtle, rosy hue.
Christopher may have done an amazing job but the spotlight is definitely on this gorgeous, charming woman whose beauty just radiates from within.
