If you want to use something a little healthier and less abrasive, you can always make the cleaner yourself. Anyone can make an effective cleaner with these three common ingredients: dish soap, baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide. Squeeze some dish soap onto the glass stove top, sprinkle baking soda over it, then pour hydrogen peroxide over the surface. Your sponge should be able to easily scrub away the mess.

3. Scrub with a Scrub Brush

If your sponge just isn’t doing the trick, you might want to try something with a little more edge. A scrub brush can take away difficult-to-remove stains with much less hassle. Pour your cleaner onto the stove top, then scrub away.

If you really want to take the difficulty out of cleaning, use a little heat to solve your problems. Sprinkle baking soda over the surface of the stove, then cover it with a warm, soapy dish cloth. Leave the cloth on the stove for 15 minutes, then slowly drag the dish cloth down the surface of the stove. Rinse, and wipe dry. Easy.

5. Erase Your Stains

If there is only a small area on your glass stove top that really needs to be cleaned, you don’t have to waste time by re-cleaning the whole thing. What you need is a smaller brush. A tooth brush can work wonders in this situation. Squeeze some tooth paste with baking soda onto the stain, then scrub it with a tooth brush. Be sure to keep this brush in a safe spot so no one mistakenly uses it on their teeth!

7. Lighten It With Lemon

Lemon juice makes an amazing natural cleaner because it is so acidic. If you don’t want to add crazy chemicals to your kitchen appliances, squeeze some lemon juice onto the surface of the stove. Leave it on for ten minutes – it will get fizzy. Then, scrub the mess away with a sponge. Simple and natural.

8. Make A Paste

Again, you can find everything you need without buying some chemical-infused products from the store. Make a paste out of 4 tablespoons of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of distilled vinegar. Apply this to the stove’s surface, then place a damp cloth over it. Leave the whole thing on for 30 minutes. You should be able to wipe your stain away.

Glass top stoves can get messy fast, but this is no reason to stress. With these simple and effective life hacks, your stove will be clean again without you ever breaking a sweat.
