These children truly believe in Santa and are hoping that he does exist, so they can still get the gifts they wish for despite having low income in their family. They send letters addressed to Santa to let him know of their hearts’ wishes this coming Christmas, praying deeply that their simple requests will be granted.

The US Post Service recognizes these children’s letters and are preparing to deliver them to the North Pole. Aside from this, the institution also launches its “Operation Santa” every year, a drive that aims to make Christmas wishes come true for low-income children. The best part about this drive is that you can be a part of it, too!

By visiting the USPS website, you will be able to read letters of children from 15 different cities in the US. All you need to do is to create your own USPS Operation Santa account, find a letter that touches your heart and “adopt” that letter!

Through adopting a child’s letter, you’ll be able to help in delivering the gift for your chosen kid this Christmas. You can be the Santa Claus who will grant their heart’s desire this season. Isn’t that just great? Helping and giving has never been this easy!

You can even choose to be anonymous in fulfilling a child’s wish on behalf of Santa Claus. Just remember to ship your Christmas gift through a participating post office on or before December 21st.

Children who would like to send letters to Santa are also welcome to mail their wish lists. The letters should be addressed to:

Santa Claus
123 Elf Road
North Pole
88888

The letters in the website come in two kinds: those from individuals and those from families. You can browse the site and search over the letters and find the one that really calls out to you.

Operation Santa is a tradition of USPS that has dated more than a hundred years back. This is, in fact, the 107th year of this Christmas tradition but it is the first year wherein the institution included eight more cities in their scope. This gives more opportunities for children to have their wishes granted this Christmas! And, of course, more people gets to be Santa!

Operation Santa is only one way to reach out to those in need in this season of sharing, and adopting a letter via their website has made it possible for everyone from all over the states to give their gifts to these kids. USPS has certainly made it easy for every helping hand to reach the less fortunate!
