There are several different things in life that we can disagree on but one thing is for sure, we all love a good dance routine!
Look no further than Bailey Munoz and Mariah Russell on the hit show, So You Think You Can Dance, season 16.
The two were paired up for a routine and did a stellar job dancing to the legendary Missy Elliott’s, “Tempo” featuring recent hitmaker, Lizzo.
Both Bailey and Mariah are just 19-years-old. But they have clearly honed their skills.
While Bailey hails from Las Vegas, Nevada, Mariah is from Memphis, Tennessee. Despite their physical distance from each other, a romance sparked between the two.
They became one of America’s beloved couples on the show. Fittingly, they finished by each other’s side in the finale.
Bailey won first place with Mariah in tow, finishing in second.
Seeing these two in action will make it obvious just how they nabbed the top two spots on the show, beating out thousands of hopefuls.
Not only do they deliver youthful energy throughout the routine, they genuinely look to be having a great time doing what they love and presumably, with whom they love.
The pair definitely get some cool points for starting off their routine on a four-wheeler and for wearing checker-patterned racing outfits. Not to mention, the wildly awesome electric guitar solo that starts the piece off just right.
As soon as they hop off of the vehicle, it’s high octane throughout. They remain in sync with each other as well as the fast tempo of the song.
Bailey is a B-boy dancer thus, a routine wouldn’t be complete without him showing off those skills, even if for a little bit.
He’s quick to get on and off the floor, reminding us that we are no longer 19-years-old!
The couple also introduces just enough sultry moves that bring them close but not too close for primetime television. Still, you see the chemistry is there.
The best moments come when they perform the exact moves and look to the other and smile. The connection is sincere and it’s clear to see that they enjoy performing the routine just as much as we enjoy watching it.
In a breathtaking moment, Mariah goes into the splits while continuing the routine.
Now, that’s talent! To be young and flexible is only but a memory. But in truth, not many people are able to perform such a move regardless of age!
Towards the end, the couple hops back onto the four-wheeler and bounce until the song ends. When it does, Bailey proudly grabs Mariah by the waist and smiles at the camera. What a moment! It sure got the audience talking!
