Well, that's one way to explain flotation devices.

Flying can be a pain in the butt, but sometimes it’s unavoidable. And boarding a plane means your going to have to sit through those annoying in-flight announcements.

Most of us cringe when that monotone voice comes over the loudspeaker.

We know we’re in for a mind-numbing explanation about tray table positions and floatation devices. Meanwhile, all we really want to know is when the beverage cart is coming around and what the in-flight meal choices are.

Some airlines actually have respect for their passengers and allow their flight staff to entertain while giving their boring in-flight announcements.

And Marty Cobb is one funny flight attendant.

So funny that she could probably be a stand-up comedian. Someone actually recorded Marty’s set and it was posted on her YouTube channel, the Marty Cobb Smile High Club where she describes herself as a, “FlyGirl having fun at 36,000ft!”

That video ended up going viral with more than 24 million views.

It was so funny that people could just not stop watching it.

“My ex-husband, my new boyfriend, and their divorced attorney are going to tell you about our safety features” she explains to those on the flight. “It’s been a long day for me.”

Cobb goes to instruct the passengers to, “position your seat belt, tie it below your hips like my grandmother wears her support bra.”

Her fellow flight attendant then points to the “disco lights” which apparently come standard on Southwest Airline’s planes.

She then begs her passengers to leave their garbage, dirty diapers, and “other gifts you leave for us” in the proper compartment.

And if the flight goes down, everyone gets their very own “teenie weenie Southwest bikini,” better known as a flotation device.

The entire plane is roaring with laughter at this point. She has the entire flight completely captivated.

“As you know it’s a no smoking, no whining, no complaining flight,” she says. “It’s a ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ and ‘you are such a good looking flight attendant’ flight.”

She also warns that the fine for smoking on the plane is $2,000.

“If you wanted to pay that much for your airfare, you should have flown with someone else,” she said.

She also lets her passengers know who’s boss on this flight.

“Basically, just do what we say and no one gets hurt,” she explains.

Judging from recent headlines, this seems to be the attitude of lots of airlines these days. You can catch the rest of Cobb’s antics in the video below.
