Wedding guests lose it when ‘living puppets’ take stage for dance show
They had me cracking up! My favorite part was their performance to Queen's "We will rock you".

Weddings have all kinds of entertainment. You might see a choreographed dance, hear a song, or even watch a skit. But one wedding reception had the guests in stitches after an unusual show by “living puppets.”

As the curtain drew back, the audience already started to laugh.

On the “stage” (or rather, the puppet stage) were three performers. But they didn’t exactly look the way you’d expect. Although they had their usual faces, their arms were covered in shoes and socks. The result…they looked like three tiny people.

Then the music swelled and they began to “dance.”

They performed a can-can, then a ballet number. That followed with some breakdancing complete with some impressive moves. At last, they put on a couple of baseball caps. At that point, they grabbed some “pogo sticks” to wow the audience with their jumping skills.

At first, you might think it’s just a cute puppet show. But as you look more closely, you realize how much is going on behind the scenes. There are at least six people involved. Some are performing as the “legs” and some as the rest of the dancers. It’s pretty complicated. But mostly, it’s funny.

The audience was having the time of their lives.

With every new song, they burst into laughter anew. The performance varied from classical music to ballet to a rousing rendition of “We Will Rock You.”

As for the audience on the World Wide Web, they thought it was pretty hysterical, too.

“Sensational!” said another commenter. “This really amused me. What does it take to do this, or what does it look like behind the scenes?”

But more than anything, they wanted to know what went into such a complicated number.

What did it take to coordinate a performance like that? How many people were back behind the curtain?

“Really a nice thing!” said another commenter. “How did you do that with the things? I’d like to do something similar for a big birthday.”

Many people even asked if they could get a detailed explanation for how it all worked.

Usually, their reason was because they found it so funny. So much so that many people wanted to recreate it for themselves.

“I think the number is sooooooooo awesome,” said a commenter. “I run my girls’ group in school and I would like to do something similar. Can you tell me what you have to pay attention to and perhaps even email the music? That would be great. I would be very grateful.”

Of course, some people can find anything to criticize.

“These dwarf dances have been so overdone that they don’t go for big laughs anymore,” said one commenter. “Oh well, at least the audience seems to be wetting itself with joy.”

There’s no telling whether the performers ever revealed their secrets. But ultimately, it doesn’t matter. The thing that made the performance so great was how well they worked together. They made a special day memorable for everyone involved.
