A mother’s love is immeasurable and we all know that for a fact.
A child can sometimes fail to remember this, but a mother will never, ever forget her love for her little one. What’s even more amazing about the love of a Mom is the fact that it is the same for everyone. And by everyone, I mean not just humans but animal moms, too!
Cows, for example, are quite amazing mothers to their offspring. Though they don’t speak, they always show their love for their little one in ways that humans can only try to understand.
Meet Karma, a cow who has made headlines because of her unique story.
A few years ago, this cow was rescued from a small farm where she was not treated well. Her rescuers who watched over her at the Gentle Barn Sanctuary in California expected that the cow would be happy. However, her reaction was the exact opposite.
The first night she spent at the sanctuary was filled with endless crying from Karma. Her actions baffled her rescuer and they could not understand why the cow was sad and would not stop crying through the night. It wasn’t until the next day that the rescuers noticed that Karma’s udders were filled with milk.
At that moment, they all knew the reason why the cow was incessantly mooing with mournful pleas the night before. They knew they had to take action immediate and so, they went back to the place where they found Karma and did what they had to do.
And true to their suspicion, Karma indeed had left a newborn calf!
The animal was on his way to the butcher when the rescuers got hold of him. It was quite fortunate that the vehicle that was supposed to bring the calf to the butcher broke down and the rescuers were able to reach them before the unthinkable happened.
The rescuers claimed the little calf and brought him to the sanctuary excitedly. What followed thereafter was a heartfelt reunion that nobody saw coming.
The moment that the little calf stepped out of the trailer, Karma immediately went on the edge of her cage and mooed excitedly, knowing that her baby is only a few steps away. She instinctively jumped on her feet and called for her calf.
The newborn animal was also excited to finally reunite with his mom and was jumping with joy as he reached his mother’s cage with the rescuer. However, because of too much fatigue and hunger, the little cow collapsed right when he was about to touch his mother.
Karma did not waste time and immediately tended to her little one. In no time at all, the calf was up on his feet as he had some gentle nuzzling from his mother. He stood up and is soon cuddled up to her and nursing again.
Everyone who witnessed the touching reunion was absolutely floored at how these animals showed the love they have as mother and child.
It only shows that apart from humans, these animals know how to love, too. And they are willing to do what it takes just to be with the ones they love.
