It’s always funny when animals think of themselves as accomplished musicians. A lot of past favorites come to mind, like Cassie the Capuchin monkey that fancies herself a piano player, or the famous dubstep cat that just can’t get enough electronic music.
However, the excited donkey in this video has his own unique talent — he loves to sing and is not afraid to show it.
Although, it could be also that he is just really into accordion music and his hee-hawing is his fun way of expressing it. I guess we can’t really be sure. If one thing is for certain though, it’s that it is quite the hilarious performance.
The video starts out with a man playing an accordion in the middle of a field. His song of choice? “When The Saints Go Marching In”. A commendable pick and the donkey thinks so too.
As the man begins playing, the animal starts energetically wagging his tail back and forth to the beat. Then the braying, *cough cough*, singing starts.
The more into the music the donkey gets, the louder he sings. It really is a site to see. As the man dances around with the accordion, the donkey sings his heart out, getting almost all the lyrics exactly correct. Although, you have to speak Equine to understand it.
While the clip is unfortunately only 30 seconds, it’s long enough to realize that this donkey is probably going to be a star one day. In fact, his short singing video going viral just might be the break he needs to get his hoof in the door with the record execs.
Really, I think someone should start a talent show like America’s Got Talent, except for animals.
This donkey could definitely charm his way into the finals.
Although, maybe he is not as good as he thinks.
While he is definitely feeling the beat and consistently maintains a good rhythm, it seems he is still somewhat lacking in the vocal department.
The poor donkey just doesn’t have the range necessary to compete with the other more experienced singing animals out there, like that one crazy dog that sounds exactly like an opera singer.
However, with a little luck and some more practice, you never know how far he could go in his musical career.
At the very least, this short clip of him singing definitely made a lot of people out there happy. I know I laughed out loud when I saw it, and you likely will as well. For the donkey, however, it’s just another day on the farm. I wonder if he knows how many views his performance is racking up on Facebook?
