I don’t know about you, but not much is worse than an impatient driver who makes you feel as if you’re in the wrong. You know the kind of drivers – the ones who swerve in and out of the lane behind you–not to pass you, mind you, but just to remind you that you’re an inconvenience to them. The ones who honk as soon as the light turns green. The ones who speed around you in the drop off lane at school when you’re just trying to get your kid out of the car. Despite your anger, you maintain your calm (after all, you don’t want to be that jack-a$*), but every once in a while, you feel like sending that impatient driver the bird and honking back. Well, this little old lady does exactly what you wish you had done every time another driver was rude to you, and man, will it have you laughing!
Fortunately for you, me and the rest of the world, two skateboards were performing tricks near a not-so-busy intersection one day and recording themselves. While they probably hoped to generate hits on YouTube because of their sick moves, they ended up generating hits for an entirely different reason.
The video captures a young man stopped at an intersection in what appears to be a convertible Mercedes (if it’s not a Mercedes, I apologize – I know little to nothing about cars). The fact that he’s driving a convertible should tell you enough about his character, but if judging is not your style, we’ll continue…
The man is stopped at a crosswalk, across which a little old lady who looks as sweet as can be is walking. This woman, from the looks of things, could have been this man’s great-grandmother, but does that stop him from acting the way he did? Nope. Apparently, his parents didn’t teach him manners, respect or patience, because what this jack-butt does next is inexcusable no matter how many years young the pedestrian is. He HONKS at her. And not just once, but several times.
Not only is honking at pedestrians downright rude but also, considering the woman’s age, it could have been dangerous as well. The loud noise could have been enough to provoke a heart attack, something most considerate people know. However, it’s obvious that this man is far from considerate, and that he makes it a habit of only thinking of himself.
Had I seen the incident go down I might have gotten out of my car and had a word with him, but according to this video, this lady doesn’t need anyone to defend her honor. She retorts in an amazingly awesome way that had me laughing out loud and that has me still smiling.
The woman’s response should be enough to set the jerk straight and to have increased his respect for the elderly. If not, well, hopefully, we can all take solace in the thought that he’ll live a miserable, lonely existence until he can learn to have respect for others.
