Chicken parmesan is a family favorite, but have you had it casserole style? It’s an extremely easy way to make this classic dish, and the best part is that there’s no breading or frying required. You still get the same crunchy and cheesy coating without all the oil!

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 6 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped basil
  • 8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 5 oz garlic croutons

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Coat the bottom of a casserole dish with olive oil. Then sprinkle garlic and hot red pepper flakes on top.

Place skinless chicken breasts on the bottom of the dish. Pour marinara sauce over the chicken, making sure to cover each breast. Add basil on top. Then top with half the mozzarella cheese, followed by half the parmesan cheese.

Then finish off with the remaining cheese, both mozzarella and parmesan.

Bake in the oven for about 35 minutes to an hour (depends on the size of your chicken breast.) Be sure the chicken is cooked and the cheese and croutons are a golden brown color.
