These passengers can DANCE!

When passengers at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport got the bad news that their flight was being delayed, everyone settled in for what was going to be a long and painful wait.

It’s pretty common that flights run a few minutes behind schedule or even get delayed for an hour or two, but in this case, airline agents said the passengers were going to be stuck there for at least six hours.

Even for the most patient of air travelers, that is definitely a bit much.

After all, there is only so much time you can kill walking around looking at the little trinket shops. Then, to add more insult to injury, what if you get hungry?

Six hours is a lot of time to work up an appetite and airports are not really known for their great food options. You basically have to choose between one overpriced fast food joint, another overpriced fast food joint, or eating one of those lackluster preprepared sandwiches they have in the refrigerator sections of the tiny kiosks (overpriced as well).

Despite how much it sucks to get stuck in an airport, there was one saving grace for the passengers that day that made the situation a little easier to bare. They got a surprise performance from the Funkywunks dance crew!

The Funkywunks could not just sit around bored in their seats for all that time. That just goes against their nature.

Instead, they decided to put on an impromptu show right there in the terminal while they were waiting for the flight.

Immediately after the Funkywunks started dancing, a crowd quickly began to gather.

The music playing in the background switches every 20 seconds or so to another track, and as it goes on, the dancing just keeps getting funkier and funkier.

Rightfully so, they call this performance of theirs “Uptown Funk”.

One moment they are breakdancing, and the next moment they are doing synchronized backflips.

It’s something you just have to see for yourself.

Pretty much everyone in the crew gets their turn in the spotlight too. They constantly alternate who gets to go up front and center to bust some moves.

Really, it’s all incredibly epic, and by the end of the dance, even the grouchiest of passengers couldn’t help but smile.

Pretty much everyone in the terminal had their phones out filming and we don’t blame them. They received what is probably a once in a lifetime surprise. It doesn’t happen very often that not only is there is a professional dance crew on your delayed flight, but that they are also willing to do a free show.

For an incredible 3 minutes, the Funkywunks’ awesomeness helped all the passengers to forget about how boring it was to be stuck in the airport.

We’re sure it is something they will never forget.

Many of the videos have since gone viral, which is great for us.

That small moment in time will now be forever immortalized in the archives of the Internet, and we can all enjoy it, just like we were there in person that day.

The best part is that we don’t even have to deal with any TSA checkpoints or spend any money on those bland high-priced sandwiches.
