With cops tending to the injured people, the camera suddenly switches to a frightened dog that’s bolting down the highway
The video starts with a helicopter camera zooming in on the rolled-over car on the highway. The woman driving is sitting up against the middle barrier with police checking her out, but where’s the dog?
Suddenly, the helicopter camera catches up with the dog, running on the shoulder in a full sprint! With cars still speeding by, the little dog is too scared to even look back!
One woman is parked on the shoulder and tries to catch the frantic dog, but isn’t quick enough
The woman nearly grabs the dog, but it manages to dart around her and continue running down the highway. The situation is getting more dangerous by the minute, the poor dog doesn’t know what to do but run.
Just when it seems like there’s no end in sight, a comforting sight shoots into the frame of the video.
A motorcycle cop speeds down the highway to try to get ahead of the scared dog
You see the motorcycle cop fly by, he reappears ahead of the dog to try to stop him, but even he isn’t quick enough! The Officer is a second too and the little sprinter runs right around him.
The highway is merging at this point, making the situation much worse! There are now cars just inches away from running the dog over.
The dog runs into the middle of the highway, barely missing passing cars
With the dog running into the middle of the highway, the situation gets even more critical. Police know they have to do something before the situation ends in tragedy.
Two motorcycle cops team up to guide the running dog to the side of the road
Finally, two motorcycle cops are able to catch up to the frightened dog who is tiring out. They slowly block the dog’s path so that he has no choice but move to the shoulder, while one officer gets ahead.
The dog runs straight for the officer, before darting to the shoulder. Luckily, the cop grabs the dog as it tries to for one last dash. The dog and the cop are both out of breath, ending the ordeal with a safe pup! To see the amazing rescue, watch the video below!
