It is truly a blissful feeling to wake up to someone staring down at you lovingly like you are their whole world.

In Tom Brown’s case, the person staring at him adoringly isn’t a person at all, but rather a Samoyed dog named Lexi.

Samoyed’s are known for their fluffy, cloud-like appearance, and Lexi certainly demonstrates her gentle nature as she notices her favorite human is still asleep.

Excited to start her day with her routine morning walk, she went to get the attention of her favorite walking companion and sits carefully beside him – literally beside him, paws and fluffy fur on the bed and all.

Seeing that Tom is still sleeping, Lexi proceeds to gently wake her favorite human.

First, she starts with a nudge of her paw.

As he begins to stir but not fully awaken, she proceeds to shower him with encouraging kisses.

Finally, in the grand finale, Lexi places her paw on Tom’s face. When subtlety doesn’t work, sometimes you have to take more direct measures.

Does Tom ever awaken from Lexi’s prodding? Check out the video below to find out.

The short video is sweet and soft like Lexi, and a stark contrast to other viral videos of pets waking up their beloved humans. You can truly see Lexi’s love for Tom in the way she gently wakes him. After all, even though she really wants her morning walk, her dad being well rested and not jolted awake comes first.

If you’d like to see how Lexi models the example of an obedient dog, check out these other instances of furry rebellion. Some of these stories show an unspoken resistance while others flat out rejecting human authority.

All in all, it’s an adorable reminder that dogs come in all sorts of shapes, sizes, and personalities.
