The Voice has become one of the most celebrated singing talent competitions on television and with the success of the original season produced in Holland, several countries all across the globe have launched their own spinoffs.

The Voice Kids in Germany is one of those spinoffs, with German singers between the ages of 8 and 14 all competing in front of celebrity judges for their chance to be the last singer remaining.

One of the most amazing performances from this series has by far been that of opera singer Solomia Lukyanets.

Back in 2015, her version of classic opera hit “Time To Say Goodbye” by Andrea Bocelli wowed judges and audience alike.

It was a performance that defied all cultural boundaries.

Solomia is a Ukrainian singer born in Kiev, Ukraine, who performed on the German version of The Voice Kids, and sang an opera song in Italian.

It is absolutely incredible!

Even if you don’t understand the lyrics, it is one of the most beautiful performances we have ever heard.

Solomia hits all the right notes and her pitch is 100% on point. The range in her voice is pretty amazing too, especially when you consider her age. If we didn’t have the video to accompany the audio, we might guess it was a fully grown adult woman singing the track.

Although she was at the high end of the age limit for the series, being 14-years-old at the time of her performance, it is still quite impressive.

The competition is completely blind, meaning the judges don’t get to watch the performances while the contestants are singing at first.

The idea is that they judge the contestants solely based upon their voice, without letting appearances cloud their judgment.

After Solomia started singing, however, two of the judges almost instantly knew they wanted Solomia on their team

Both judges Lena Meyer-Landrut and Johannes Strate hit their buttons within seconds. It took a little time for judge Mark Forster to make his decision, but ultimately he couldn’t resist hitting his button as well. Solomia’s voice is just that good.

Lena Meyer-Landrut was literally crying she was so moved by the song.

In the end, it was a unanimous yes with all three judges interested in working with the young starlet.

While unfortunately Solomia Lukyanets did not go on to win that season’s competition, she did succeed at gaining a whole lot of worldwide attention. The video of her performance on YouTube has since received over 37 million views. That is a lot of eyeballs!

If one thing is for certain, it is that Solomia definitely has a very promising career ahead of her.
