3-year-old re-enacts "Beauty and the Beast" dance with her dog
This is just too precious to handle.

This is one of the cutest re-enactments you might have seen! Who doesn’t remember the iconic ballroom scene from the Beauty and the Beast where the two main characters dressed in their finest garments dance along with the romantic music under the candlelights in the spectacular golden painted ballroom?

This little girl’s love for the classic animation drove her mom to help her relive her favorite scene in real-life and who would make a better choice to act as her dance partner than her best friend.

Last October, in Nebraska, after Kaylee and Emily Slobotski had watched the classic movie for the hundredth time, they decided that it was time to do something to show how much they loved this film. The three-year-old, Emily, wore her Belle costume, mom Kaylee took her camera, and Rudy the Goldendoodle “became” the Beast, dressed in a similar costume as the Disney character.

Once everyone was in place, Emily took Rudy’s paws in her hands, mom put the dance scene on TV, and when the music started…Action! The adorable couple starts “swaying” while listening to the voice of the legendary Angela Lansbury singing the beautiful Tale as Old as Time.

We can see in the video how invested is Emily in her dance with Rudy, while Rudy seems a bit uncertain and maybe an iota confused as to what exactly is happening, glancing frequently at the mom-Kaylee behind the camera.

Emily on the other hand is having the time of her life as she hums along with the lyrics of the song, smiling and leaning in to hug her “Beast”! It’s seriously one of the most adorable scenes I have seen, involving toddlers and their pets.

Let’s not forget to comment on how radiant the leading couple is, Emily makes a magnificent little Belle while Rudy resembles surprisingly the “Beast” with all that excess of wavy brown hair.

For the people not familiar with the Disney animation, Beauty and the Beast was officially released in 1991. It is based on the fairy tale by the same name, La Belle et la Bête by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont.

The film was a big success, and it became really popular because of its beautiful and elaborate soundtrack. The lyricist, Howard Ashman, and the composer, Alan Menken, created a magnificent soundtrack that won numerous awards after its release.

The song that Emily and Rudy dance in the video, became especially popular after Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson sang it in 1992. But, the voice in Disney’s original film belonged to the actress Angela Lansbury who had lent her voice for the character of Mrs. Potts as well.

I think that a grant applaud is required for our two little dancers! I hope we can see more iconic scene re-enactments from these two in the future. Until then...Tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme, beauty and the beast...
