Luke Vincentini is an independent cake artist in New Jersey who has now gone viral for his amazingly realistic confections.
The 23-year-old makes stunning traditional cakes but is now known for his ultra-creative endeavors. Many of his cakes take the form of the most unexpected – a cell phone, avocado toast, or a carton of eggs, for example.
Getting his start at Carlo’s Bakery in Lanoka Harbor, New Jersey – also known as the site of the TLC show Cake Boss – Vincentini says his creations can take up to 14 hours to make.
Not only is his Instagram page a feast for the eyes, but the videos he posts of him cutting into these amazing cakes are oh-so-satisfying.

1. Spectacular strawberry
From the leaves to the seeds, this beautiful cake is not only detailed to perfection, but it’s multi-layered!
We can’t imagine the trimming and shaping that went into this chocolate beauty.
Probably Vincentini’s most famous cake, this bag of Doritos is edible on the inside and out.
The details on the “bag” are so realistic that you might not realize it’s a cake until you see the photo with the cut.
One of his most recent creations, Vincentini’s take-out cake is simply incredible.
It’s a good thing he cut into it himself because we don’t know if we would have had the courage to do it.
4. Amazing avocado “toast”
Yes, both the avocado and the toast are edible.
This magnificent cake is so detailed that it even includes some residue on the pit and “salt and pepper” on the toast!
Looking a little toastier than your average Minion, this cake is a kid’s dream come true.
We just wonder how they felt when mom or dad cut him open!
Sci-fi fans would die to have this Tardis cake at their birthday party.
But is it bigger on the inside?
7. For your little princess
Vincentini makes wedding and baby shower cakes as well, including this amazing carriage creation for a yet-to-be-born little girl.
We’d love to know what flavor is inside that carriage!
This cake is a detailed replica of the set of a show called “Don’t Hug Me, I’m Scared.”
And, believe it or not, every part of it is edible!
These miltilayer wedding cakes might look more traditional, but no one can argue tha the detail is still spectacular.
We don’t know the story behind this cake, but we’re going to guess it’s a graduation cake for a Broadway fan or a theater major (or both!).
Either way, it’s putting on quite a show.
Remember when we used to make phone calls? On landlines? That looked like ducks?
If not, then this cake is best left to the pre-Millenial generations.
We don’t know if this was a request or just an experiment, but either way, it’s just strange enough to draw our attention.
The eggs are even different colors like they would be at your local organic grocer.
We’d happily carry this bag around all day.
It takes packing a lunch to a whole new level!
14. Off with their heads!
Not only is this impressive for Vincentii’s sculpting of fondant, but the painting of the Red Queen is gorgrous as well.
Vincentini is certainly an artist in every sense of the word.
The artistry that went into creating the seeds and painting the skin is incredible on this watermelon cake.
We’d be happy to make this our daily dose of fruit!
Celebrating the musical Hamilton, this cake is sure to be a hit among the two fans it’s dedicated to.
Even the rope is edible!
We haven’t counted the rings inside to see how old this cake is, but we’re willing to bet it took quite a long time to create.
Just look at the painted detail on that bark!

Yet another masterpiece that hardly looks edible because of its magnificent detail.
We have the feeling we’d want to save that succulent as long as it would last.

21. Cartier craftsmanship
This beautiful red Cartier jewerlry box has us wondering what’s inside.

Chopping wood is hard, but chopping a cake that looks like wood is our kind of exercise.
Once again, Vincentini shows off his amazingly detailed painting skills by truly making this look like a real log.
Just don’t throw it into the fireplace!
No doubt based on Picasso’s famous “Persistence of Memory” painting, this cake is an art-lover’s dream.
We’d be willing to bet even the legend himself would have wanted a slice.
Yet another cake that’s worth watching the video for, this really had us believing it was a latte until we saw it come apart.
Even the spoon looks real!

27. Hedwig makes us hungry
We feel just as somber as this cake looks when we watch Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
And we’re loving the Sugar Daddy reference too.
New to working with satin glaze, this recent creation is a squirrel’s dream.
This is one acorn they wouldn’t want to bury.
We’ve certainly made cakes that felt like bricks before, but we have the feeling the craftsmanship on this one means it actually tastes good too.
From the detail on the outside of the lemon rind to the faux inside that looks like it’s ready to squeeze, this lemon cake is a fan favorite.
This is definitely out kind of fruit cake.
Even when he’s making a semi-traditional cake, Vincentini manages to add some extra flair.
We’re pretty sure those feathers are edible – and we can’t imagine how long they took to make and paint!
This might look like your standard wedding cake, but from the beautiful glaze 0n the outside to the detail on those flowers, we’re willing to bet this was a hard one to cut into.
