Asa Larsson uses her distinct talent of kulning, an archaic Nordic herding call, to charm magnificent swans. Kulning, traditionally used to call goats, sheep, and cattle from high mountainous regions, has been used for decades.

Recorded on video, at her relative’s home, she called majestic white swans toward the family’s dock. A mother swan, followed by her baby swan, were undoubtedly drawn by the sound as they swam across the body of water.

As if the scene was out of a movie, in this picturesque setting, Asa elegantly called the beautiful birds in. And, as the birds approached the dock, they were remarkably unafraid.

While many believe the kulning call is very beautiful, others find it a bit off-putting. Regardless, the effect is quite fascinating.
