Before staying home became the general rule, families already had their homes bustling with activities that kept the kids happy and preoccupied. In place of constantly hearing them say “I’m bored”, moms and dads made sure to involve their kids to keep them busy, even in the most typical household tasks.
Like this adorable toddler who has the makings of a master chef.
Sporting a red apron (just a red apron) with his name sewn across in white, Roman met viewers with what has to be the cutest video introduction yet.
No formal greetings, no rehearsed spiels, just a toddler in all his candidness, excitedly telling everyone that he’s about to make pizza. (Watch out for that random sweet hug he gives mommy!) And speaking of mommy, guess who Roman’s sous-chef is? That’s right.
He’s quite the polite one too, always requesting for ingredients with “please” and “thank you.”
That’s definitely how you do it!
When mom hands him the crust, he lays it flat in front of him and proceeds to ask for sauce. Once a squeeze bottle containing the pizza sauce in his hands, Roman squirts some out (with a little help from mommy) on the crust.
“Peekaboo! Hey, I did it!”
He brings his face closer to the sauce he just squeezed out and sniffs it. “It’s so yummy!” Ordinarily, a face that close to food followed by a bit of sniffing would be downright gross for grownups. But there is always an exception.
After all, we’re talking about a very cute, very innocent toddler eager to make his own pizza.
He uses a spatula to spread the sauce and what’s impressive is he knows how the tool works. He doesn’t struggle with the spatula at all. Despite some sauce spilling over the side of the crust, Roman manages to coat the top.
Then comes the fun part. The cheese!
He dumps a small bowl of shredded cheese on top of the sauce and once more uses the spatula to spread the ingredient. But not without some banging, some sniffing, and some tasting. He takes a handful of the cheese he just finished spreading, brings it to his mouth, and chews happily. Then, he asks for the pepperoni.
With a look of concentration on his sweet, adorable face, Roman carefully lays each slice of pepperoni along the edge of the pie. (Well, at least that’s how it was at first.) Then he arranges some olives and does some more tasting.
Right after assembling the toppings, he decides to go back for some more pepperoni.
Hey, a chef should do some taste testing first, right?
With a happy, excited grin on his face, he starts spinning in place, causing his mom to giggle in the background. As he prepares to let his mom pop the pizza in the oven to cook, he tells his viewers how long they have to wait for it.
“Bake at 450 for 15 minutes. See you in a minute! I see you in a minute.”
Once the pizza finishes cooking, Roman looks straight into the camera and loudly announces, “It’s done! It’s really done.”
You won’t be able to help but gush at how he opens the pizza box his mom put his finished product in, and how satisfied he looks when he takes that first bite. Don’t you wish more users on YouTube had content this delightful to watch?
We love a cute chef with a hearty appetite!
