Most people trust their first impressions right off the bat because they feel right at the moment. Unfortunately, they’re not always true. According to experts, first impressions of people are often wrong.

Luc Perreault is one great example of why you should never judge a book by its cover.

You see, Luc is a big guy. He rides big bikes and drinks beers. He has tattoos as well as a mustache and beard. With his physical appearance, it’s easy to think that he’s intimidating.

One day, Luc went out to test-drive his mom’s motorcycle.

While he was out, he decided to take a really quick break. He stopped by Tim Horton’s restaurant and parked his motorcycle there.

As a big guy, Luc easily catches people’s attention.

At the parking lot, a little girl got curious about him. She was clearly not scared of Luc. In fact, she smiled and even said hi to him.

Luc’s response was a short “Hello”.

Before the two could talk more, the little girl’s mother quickly pulled her away from Luc. As the two were walking away, he heard the mother say something hurtful.

“We don’t talk to dirty bikers,” the mother said.

The comment stung.

The woman didn’t know Luc. Despite that, she still gave a strong opinion about him based solely on his appearance.

Luc felt offended.

However, instead of approaching the woman and confronting her, he chose to send a powerful message through social media.

In his post, he said:

“To the family in the red SUV at Tim Horton’s today, yes, I am a big 280-lb guy with motorcycles and full of tattoos. I am a welder, I am loud, I drink beer, I swear, and I look like I would eat your soul if you stare at me wrong.

He also shared that he’s been happily married for 11 years and that his kids lovingly call him Daddy. His nieces and nephews are always excited to see him. His mom thinks he’s a really wonderful son.

He continued:

“So next time I smile and say hi to your little girl and you grab her and tell her ” No no dear we don’t talk to dirty bikers” remember that even tho you hurt my feelings this “dirty biker would be the first person to run into your burning house to save your little girls gold fish so she wouldn’t be sad!!!!”

His post has been an eye-opener for a lot of people.

One Facebook user commented:

“I take people as I find them, going by the comments that people have made on your status you are a genuinely caring guy, it doesn’t matter what size you are, how many tattoos you have or whether you ride a bike or drive a car, its the person inside that counts.”

Luc is one super-friendly guy.

To his friends, he’s a big teddy bear. Despite his large size, he’s a softie at heart. People within his inner circle can prove that.

After reading his post, one of his friends commented:

“Well put brother. I’d still back you up any day. You are a good man. Take it with a grain if salt cause its their lose. Glad to call you a friend and brother.”
