We live in a very interesting time. Unfortunately, there are a lot of bad things happening around the country. But on the flip side, some unusually great things are going on as well. Once in a while, people come across something incredibly unique.
The love of music
Music brings people together even during difficult times. Thankfully, stories emerge that capture people’s attention and hearts. Sometimes, the stories are about people who share this passion and more importantly, what they do with it.
The unexpected
If you watch music videos online, you’ve probably seen some unbelievable things. For instance, a child playing the violin in the middle of the street who’s so good that she could be a professional. Or a concierge and a guest who decides to perform a duet.
Viral video
While the concierge example might seem odd, it happened. In one video, people were amazed at what two people did. It’s so fantastic that it’s now been viewed more than 3.4 million times.
How it started
It began when a female guest visited a friend. While in the lobby waiting for her mother to pick her up, she heard someone singing. It was the concierge. She sat and listened for a while but then decided to do something.
She did something else
She walked up to him and introduced herself, explaining that she too was a singer. That quickly led to a discussion about music and various other topics. Soon, her mother arrived and she left.
A second meeting
As luck would have it, this woman was back at the apartment a few months later. Remembering the concierge’s beautiful voice, she approached him again. But instead of just talking, she asked if he would sing with her.
Magic happens
The concierge sitting behind the desk begins to sing “I Will Always Love You,” which was made famous by the late Whitney Houston. As soon as he opened his mouth, someone in the lobby began filming.
The voice of an angel
If Houston were still alive and had the chance to hear this guy sing, she’d been proud. His voice is strong and flawless, two qualities this song demands. That alone was amazing but another great thing was about to happen. Hearing her voice, the concierge immediately stands up.
It becomes a duet
Even when he has to help another guest, the woman continues to sing. She also sounds like an angel and as a duet, their voices match perfectly. Since this video took place inside of a large lobby, the acoustics make them sound even better.
A memorable performance
This woman and the concierge might not be on a big stage in New York but they still managed to impact people around the globe. Here you have two strangers who both love music. And by making a simple request to sing together, they created a magical moment.
Yes, bad stuff is happening but because of that, you should treat yourself to an incident that will lift your spirits. It just goes to show that beautiful things can happen in the most unexpected places if people keep their minds and hearts open.
