Watching dancers fully engage and immerse themselves in their art is truly a sight to see. It’s mesmerizing, in fact.

It’s beautiful to watch their perfected moves unfold across the stage. And while it provokes genuine inspiration, it can also be discouraging at times! We watch people who are so talented and skilled and wonder how we could ever get to that level of grace ourselves. It’s one thing to watch a talented individual take the stage by storm, but imagine the feeling when that individual is but a mere child!

It’s hard not to feel a little disheartened when a kid can do something better than you.

The internet and social media have cast a wide light across the playing field.

These days, it’s easy to find people of all ages, shapes and sizes immersing themselves in every craft imaginable. And while the amazing pool of talent can sometimes make us feel dwarfed, it’s truly inspirational to know that age is just a number and that talent exists inside of us all. With that, the guilt quickly turns into admiration.

Our video today is the perfect showcase.

He saunters down into the middle of the room, taking measure of the wonder of the dancing girl.

He taps her on the shoulder, begging for her attention, and busts a few dance moves of his own. But to his chagrin, she turns her nose up at him and goes the other way. The rejection, all part of their act, is undeniably cute.

Once again, the boy tries to dazzle his partner with a new set of moves.

She casually looks on, pretending to be unimpressed with some otherwise impressive moves for a kid.

Immediately you realize that he’s taking the role of pursuit, while she remains unenthused. The two go back and forth for a minute or two. The boy continues to try to impress, and then the girl takes a moment to showcase her own sweet moves. The story unfolds and all the while both children are showing the audience just how well they can dance!
