I would have stopped for that too.

Terry Miles is a “Boogie Woogie Piano teacher/tutor” with nearly a quarter of a million followers on YouTube. That’s partly because he promises to teach regular folks the fast-fingered improvisational art without all the complicated musical jargon.

But we weren’t a fan of his at first when we saw him walk up to a young woman playing the piano at St. Pancras Station in London and try to kick her off of it.

But not so fast. She argues back.

She’s practicing. He can’t have the piano.

The two “bicker” back and forth for a few seconds but very few of the passing shoppers are paying much attention.

Finally, she’s had enough. She gives up her seat and the man takes over at the keyboard.

She looks pretty annoyed at first, and we don’t blame her.

We have to admit though, he’s pretty darn good!

The Boogie Woogie style involves using your left hand to set the pace while you improvise the melody with your right hand. It takes an ear for music and some serious practice.

But what about the girl standing by to use the piano?

Well, it was all a set-up. And if you couldn’t tell by the “acting,” then it was pretty clear once she started clapping along.

Of course, that wasn’t the real surprise.

It wasn’t until a third person came along that the crowd really started to form.

He looks like he’s ready to climb a mountain, but it turns out he’s there to boogie woogie!

After he greets the young woman, he jumps right in and starts playing the piano next to Miles.

Then the woman joins in as well!

With three people on the piano, you have yourself a show. Well, unless you’re the guy who took a seat right next to it. He seems pretty hard to impress for some reason.

“The old guy was like your knocking the dust off my piano,” joked one commenter.

NOW we’re getting a crowd.

The grouchy man even cracks a momentary smile, but that goes away (unlike him) as soon as people stop and break out their phones to record the moment.

Frankly, we love to enjoy an impromptu performance without worrying about our phone, but this one is pretty unique and would be hard to explain to your friends later without some proof.

St. Pancras is an international railway station, so people aren’t always in the best mood when they’re there either before or after a long, crowded trip.

If you’re wondering how people can simply walk by something so entertaining, consider how many times you’ve been in “zombie mode” at the airport – same thing.

But we’re pretty sure this brightened quite a few days.

“This was amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It brought Happy tears to my eyes,” exclaimed one online viewer.

The players – who turn out to be Miles’ musical accomplices – let him have the keys once more so he can play them out with a solo to rock everyone’s socks off.

Terry Miles has a whole YouTube channel devoted to his relatively impromptu performances, often on public pianos. Be sure to take a look if you like his sound!
